The GVR Forum Club is a lecture club that is sponsored by Green Valley Recreation in Green Valley, Arizona. We were chartered by GVR on April 7, 1976 and are still going strong.

The Club offers weekly presentations on a large variety of subjects which are informative, mind-expanding, challenging and just plain entertaining.  Presentations are given by invited area residents, authors, docents and business professionals.

Forums are held Wednesday mornings 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. September through May (38 presentations annually) in the Desert Hills Social Center in Green Valley.  Seating is available on a first come, first served basis – capacity approximate 250.

Attendees must be GVR members and pay an annual dues of $2.00.  No need for a ticket or reservation, bring your GVR card and sign in at the door.

Our Next Event:

November 20, What Is the First Rock'n'Roll Record?

Much debate has occurred over what was the first rock ’n’ roll record. Was it “Rock Around the Clock” or another song? Alan Kruse will start with the year 1956 and working our way backwards, we’ll profile some of the most important and influential recordings in rock’s history and try to determine the first one.
